Biltmore Forest NC Real Estate
One of the first planned cities in Western North Carolina, Biltmore Forest was drawn up by associates of Frederick Law Olmsted, who created the manicured grounds of Central Park in New York City and George Vanderbilt’s chateau on the Biltmore Estate in Asheville. The town continues to abide by Olmsted’s landscape philosophy in maintaining a fine collection of homes canopied by sturdy, mature hardwoods.
Among Biltmore Forest’s amenities are its comfortable country club and highly regarded golf course. Built beside the vast Biltmore Estate, the town is just south of Asheville. Driving into downtown Asheville takes about six minutes. Biltmore Forest was designated as a historic district by the U.S. Department of the Interior in March 1990, is close to the fastest growing part of Buncombe County - South Asheville, with its array of shopping, entertainment, and dining.
